About the Foundation
From October 26 through November 6, Sterling and the Markow Family Foundation are collecting new and gently used winter coats for children and adults in support of Caring Partners’ Coats for Kids & Families. Donated coats will be professionally cleaned and distributed to people in need through local organizations.
Please bring warm, wearable coats to the clearly marked bins at any of these Sterling offices during business hours:

Meet the Markow Family
The Markow Family Foundation was pleased to support our friends at Greenhalge Elementary School in Lowell with a back-to-school delivery of classroom supplies.
As the new school year got underway, we reached out to the Greenhalge team to ask which supplies would be most helpful to their teachers and students. The school shared its wish list, and the Foundation provided every item requested, delivering the supplies directly to the school.
By listening to the needs of our school partners, we can focus our support where it will make a meaningful difference. Classroom supplies are a simple but practical way to help teachers prepare welcoming learning spaces and ensure students have the tools they need to participate and succeed.
We’re grateful for our continued partnership with Greenhalge and the opportunity to support its dedicated educators and students. We wish the entire school community a wonderful year of learning, discovery, and growth!

Sterling and the Markow Family Foundation’s 2026 Spread the Love food drive collected 10,200 pounds of peanut butter and jelly, surpassing last year’s total by 369 pounds and setting a new record for our team.
Held February 9–23 in support of Move For Hunger, the annual drive focused on two of the most requested items at local food pantries. The donations were delivered to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank to help families facing food insecurity throughout our region.
This year’s results built on a community effort that began in 2021, bringing together employees, partners, and supporters to help keep local pantry shelves stocked. Their generosity turned everyday staples into meaningful support for our neighbors.
